Saccharomyces boulardii is a yeast probiotic, so it is not the same thing as a bacterial probiotic capsule. The most useful comparison points are the exact strain, the amount per dose, storage instructions, and how clearly the label explains the intended routine.
Some people prefer it because the profile is easy to recognise and the formula stays fairly focused. That still does not make it the better choice by default, especially if you already use another probiotic or a separate digestive product. The label matters more than the category name.
If you are immunocompromised, seriously ill, pregnant, breastfeeding, or dealing with persistent digestive symptoms, check suitability first. A clear label is helpful, but it does not replace a proper assessment when symptoms are not settling or when several gut products are being used at the same time.
