After that, the main comparison points are full strain names, daily amount, format, storage, and whether the product stays simple enough to follow. A single-strain product, a broad probiotic mix, a kefir drink, and a FOS fiber powder may all sit near each other on the shelf, but they answer different shopping questions.
This is usually a self-care category, not a diagnosis path. It can be useful for ordinary routine support, for a cautious trial around antibiotics, or for comparing everyday tolerance, but it should not replace assessment when the symptom picture is unclear.
