The practical comparison is between meters that feel easy to hold, easy to clean, and easy to read. A clear scale and a simple way to record results usually matter more than extra features, because the value comes from repeated use rather than from the device looking technical.

Technique matters as much as the meter. Use roughly the same timing, the same blowing method, and compare the result with your own usual level instead of somebody else's reading. A single blow can mislead if the start is weak, the effort changes, or symptoms are different from the ordinary pattern.
